IP Ratings, Build Quality, and What to Look For
Not all off-road LED lights are built the same, and the cheapest option on a search results page is usually cheap for a reason. When you are buying lights that will be exposed to mud, water, dust, and vibration, build quality matters. The IP rating on a light tells you how well it is sealed against dust and water. IP67 means the light is fully dust-tight and can handle temporary submersion. IP68 is rated for continuous submersion. For most trail use, IP67 is the minimum you should accept. Do I need a relay harness for a small set of pod lights?
